Biography

 

Born on in November 1951 Jan is a versatile, flexible and committed actor who has extensive experience in front of the camera both within films and television. Jan has a range of looks making it possible for her to take on characters both younger and older than her years.


Jan has always been involved with dance doing ballroom and latin as a young adult and disco and tap when her family were growing which included competition and show work, but she had not got the acting bug until about 2000 when she joined a local Am Dram Group.  She then went on, stretching her improvisation skills with a Murder Mystery Company.


Since then the bug has really bitten and Jan has recently  been seen in featured roles in Call The Midwife in the Maplin and Foxy Bingo idents and Mattesons and Not on the High Street commercials.  She has also been Maud in Abbey Road Murder Song book trailer, Sophia Campbell in Olive Green language film, Norma in B&Q Pension training video, Auntie Jan in sketches for Quit anti smoking charity and Bev in Scratch Card Holiday, as well as being part of the Essex Police Domestic Abuse Survivor programme and being Mrs Claus in Lapland over Christmas!
